Comfort in terms of personal space is an important consideration in selecting your bed size. The standard size twin is only 75” long; but an extra long twin adds another 5” to allow 80” of length. The twin bed does allow 39” of width, making it a good choice for personal space.

The double bed is a nice option for a large surface for one or a cozy bed size for two. If two people are sharing a full or double bed the 54” width offers each person only 27” of width but offers 75” or extra long versions at 80”.

The queen bed is a bit larger option for personal space comfort. At 60” of width it offers two people a 30” space area. It comes as a standard 80”. Adjustabed offers a split queen to provide each side with adjustable functionality.

The king bed offers each person 38” of personal space, there is a split king option offered often that is two extra long twin beds that can be joined together. The king comes as 80” standard length, but the California King is slightly narrower (72” as opposed to the standard 76”) but is 84” long.
